Ramadan is a month of sharing to feel the hunger and thirst of poor people who can’t afford luxury. Fasting is very essential for health. A reward of keeping fast is given by Allah. Allah shows his mercy in this month over his people.
The word “Ramadan” came from Arabic language which means “parched thirst”.
It is consider as a blessed month in which Quran was revealed
“The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.” (Qur’an 2:185)-

The Quran make it clear that the main purpose of fasting is to make the person pious and righteous. ‘O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you so that you may become al-Muttaqun (or attain Taqwa). The big benefit of fasting is that fasting brings closer to creator and increase the devotion .it teaches self-control, good manners and good habits. When the month of Ramadan begins doors of heaven are opened and doors of hell are closed and Satan’s are tied with chains, and the doors of mercy are opened by Allah for his people.

Benefits and blessing of fasting:
Protection:
• Avoiding anger
• Avoiding bad language
• Avoiding immorality
Mouth smell:
The smell of the mouth of fasting person is better than the musk during Day of Judgment.
Blessing of Iftar:
Iftar is best time for prays .Dua is accepted by Allah.
Itikaf:
A person who performs itikaf during last ten days of Ramadan will get:
Blessing and rewards.
Peace of mind.
Closeness of Allah.
Every breath is Tasbiih:
Every breath is tasbiih and sleep is also considered as ibadat .
Sadaqah:
• Purity.
• Flourishing of wealth.
• Improving economy.
• Circulation of wealth.
• Helping poor.
• Elimination of poverty.
Sharing:
It shares the concept of sharing with people. Shares the hunger,thrist,needs of people of other people in society .
Fasting and health:
It enhances the health of people.
• Reduction of weight.
• Lower blood pressure.
• Purity of brain.
• Purity of body.
• Look younger.
Lailatul Qadr:
It is the night of blessing (the night of power).A person will get reward as:
• Forgiveness of mistakes.
• Purity.
• Better than 1,000 months.
• Dua.
• Zikar.
• Provide peace of mind and heart.
• Better human being
• Prayers.
Feeding others:
Feeding others is best act in Ramadan. Whoever invites others to break the fast, and whoever takes care of the hungry, needs, during the days of Ramadan will receive equal rewards to the fasting person.
Revelation of holy Quran:
• Guidance for mankind.
• Mercy.
• Source to communicate with Allah.
• A healer.
Change of life style:
Ramadan is the way in which whole life style is changed. Person feels to do more good deeds in order to get reward from Allah.
Ramadan is the months of blessing, holy month to seek closeness of Allah.Rewads are double .Allah shows his blessing over his people, Allah has promised to his people that fast is for him and he will give the reward. May this holy month bring a lot of happiness, satisfaction, blessing, good deeds, purity to every muslim. Ameen
