Every year millions of people get attacked by influenza and sour throat and spend so much on medication which in turn damage the stomach and internal health of the person. It is never advisable to take too much tablets as they have many side effects which appear in later ages of the human life cycle. No matter how many precautions one takes against flu and sour throat, it is not possible to get a safe pass. But what one can do is to try to cure them in the most natural ways available.Sour throat is mostly caused due to strep bacteria also known as streptococcus bacteria which attacks on the inside of the throat and makes it swelled and itchy causing severe pain on ingesting or swallowing anything. That is the one thing which i personally hate to got through but unfortunately we all experience it every year. Instead of going to the doctor, the home remedies one can do are more effective than the medicines and high potency tablets. You can cure your sour throat, flue, fever and almost any minor problem with some of the ingredients which are already present in your kitchen cupboard.

Herbal teas, soups, detox water and some other foods and fluids when made with the right ingredients can work wonders for your tired and sick body, so try the following herbal drinks at home and see how the magic of natural herbs works.

Ginger Cinnamon tea: ginger and cinnamon are known for their antibacterial properties and are considered very helpful for curing and calming sour throat. Boil water, one cup for one person, and add a piece of cinnamon and ginger in it, let it boil for 10 minutes and its done.

Garlic Cinnamon honey tea: All these three ingredients are known for antibacterial, anti fungal and anti inflammatory properties. Boil water with a piece of garlic and cinnamon in it for 10 minutes. Than once you have put the tea in a cup, put one tablespoon of honey in it, stir and drink hot.

Lemon honey tea: Lemon is acidic and also works as antibacterial agent with honey. Put boiled water in a cup and squeeze one lemon in it, one or even half  if you don’t like too much of lemon. Mix one tablespoon honey in it and drink.

Chamomile tea: Chamomile is a calming herb and soothes the nerves. Chamomile tea is taken worldwide for its properties of comforting the nerves and soothing one’s senses. It is also very good for hurting head and throat and therefore can be taken to sooth the aching throat.

Lavender tea: Lavender, my most favourite herb which has properties so vast that one can use it in many different things for many different purposes. Make lavender tea for soothing your sour throat and also to calm the nerves so you can sleep soundly and peacefully.

Essential oils: some of the essential oils when massaged on throat can also prove to be very helpful and can sooth the pain and irritating throat. They can also be take with teas but with proper instructions, however you can apply them on your neck and massage slowly, that will be fine too.

The best thing about these herbal drinks is that they have no side effects and so one can have them many times a day. So try to take less tablets and chemicals and switch to natural ways of curing yourself, which will not only erase the problem you are suffering from, but also have added benefits.
