Superstition can be described as they are irrational beliefs, different signs which tell the people what the future is installed for us. Superstition is a form of prediction for future that what is going to happen in future. There are certain believes that are consider as superstition. Examine few of the superstitions:

The English beliefs that spider found in wedding dress means the good luck in English tradition Wednesday is considered as the best day for marriage whereas Monday for wealth and Tuesday for health. Saturday is considered as most unlucky day for marriage.

It is in fact that avoid walking under open ladders something can be drop over you whereas open ladders are considered as symbol of life in many mythologies.
Breaking mirror can bring bad days:
Breaking mirror is considered as one of the bad act. breaking mirrors is not the happiest thing that happens to you. In ancient times it was belief that mirror is the reflection of soul. Since breaking it meant that you are virtually shattering the soul it is believe that bad luck of seven years comes over you.

Black cat crosses the path:
The poor cat gets blamed for the mishap of people. If black cat cross the path something bad will be happen. Another theory tells that these black cats turn into witches and devils after seven years. one very famous fun fact that this fact is so powerful that Hitler and Napoleon were frightened by it.
God bless you for sneezing:
People often use the phrase God bless you when a person sneeze this concept came from Europe. When a black plague devastated Europe because sneezing was the first symptoms. The saying was the way to wish the sick person the best of luck with his condition.
Gum chewing in Turkey:
In parts of turkey you must think twice before whipping out the chewing gum. There is a belief that if you are chewing gum at night it is actually rotting dead fish.
Spanish New Year belief:
The Spanish ritual on the New Year’s Eve is to eat 12 grapes in midnight. It is done in the hope of having 12 happy months in the coming year.
Don’t open umbrella inside:
We normally don’t open umbrella indoors because in home we don’t need to protect ourselves from rain or sun it is belief that it could bring something sudden over you.

A common superstition for pilots is to not take a picture of themselves in front of their aircraft before a flight. It is thought to be bad luck and to portend death.
