Essential Oils are the highly extracted oils from different herbs and plants and are of immense importance having various uses from beauty to health and even food. An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Essential oils are commonly known as ethereal oils, volatile oils, aetherolea, or simply as the “oil of” the plant from which they were extracted. There are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam. Other processes include expression or solvent extraction.
